She is getting bigger!

Our little Josie is getting bigger! We scheduled a date with the breeder to pick her up June 20th. She will be just over 7 weeks old, and she said to expect her to only be about 5lbs when we pick her up! So tiny!!

I think as first time 'doggie - parents' we are a little over zealous and excited, well maybe its just me. Who me, go overboard?!....NEVER! We are all set for her to come home though, I've made a vet appointment, we have a crate, baby gate, food and water bowls, leash, collar, and toys. Well what do you expect, I am done with school, I have to put my energy into something. She is starting to look really cute, a little less rodent-like, and starting to open her eyes.

Freedom at last!

Well, I finally finished up the semester, and boy does it ever feel good to be done and have a break. We headed to MI this weekend for some birthday parties and Alec had to work in the Grand Rapids office Saturday for their yearly open house they do.

We were able to see lots of friends and family in the weekend, it was great to catch up with everyone, we hadn't been back since mid march! The weather was gorgeous as well!! Here is a little break down of what we did over the weekend:

Friday

* Arrived around 11:30pm to our friend's Dave and Alyx's house, spent the night there

Saturday

* Alec went to the open house first thing in the morning; Dave, Alyx, and I met him there for lunch
* Alec and I headed to Calvin to see Allyson (my little sister)

* Went to our niece Sarah's birthday party

* Went to Bryant's college house (my little brother) to visit

* Went and visited with our friends Catherine and Aaron

* Headed to Grant

Sunday

* Church

* Birthday party to celebrate Sarah, Rob, Kate, Aaron, and Jordan's birthday! We had pizza :)

Not reading a nursing text book for once!

This coming weekend we are looking forward to a low key weekend, with nice weather predicted! We have a few things that need to get done, but other than that we are looking to enjoying ourselves and NOT doing homework on a weekend!!! I think we are going to the zoo (we have a zoo pass now) and we also need to go tent shopping for all our camping adventures this summer.

Our almost new addition!

We are adding a new addition to our family, and no no no it is not a child! We are getting a puppy!!! Here are the details on our new pup:

Breed: Cockapoo (cocker-spaniel, poodle mix) They are known for being a great breed, really well mannered and don't shed.

Sex: Female

Timing: She was born 4/30 so won't be ready for us to get her for 7 weeks. But thats ok, we have plenty to keep us busy until then.

Name: Josie

We are a very excited, a little nervous of what we are getting ourselves into. But its going to be fun! Its going to be a fun summer though for sure with our new puppy. We are going camping with my family only 2 short weeks after we get her, and we are planning on bringing her along. That will be very interesting I am sure..... :)
