Preparing for the move

This move to Michigan has not sunk in with me at all yet!  Even though things are moving along quickly with all the details I just don't feel at all like this is real!

Closing on our Milwaukee house is May 3.  We plan to pack the truck that evening and then drive over to MI the next day.  We have the truck booked, but need to book a storage place in the Grand Rapids area to store our things until we can move into our Lowell house.  We close on the new house May 15, but the current residents want 30 days post occupancy, so we won't be moving in until June 15.  We will be taking up residence at Alec's parents house until we can get into the new house.

We are very excited about the new house.  It was one of the ones we looked at when we were there over Easter.  Alec loved it from the very beginning, I on the other hand was a bit unsure.  After some discussion and thought I realized the things I considered negative about it weren't that big of a deal and I could get over them!

Built in 1994 (and hasn't been updated since then....)

3 bedrooms & 2.5 baths

How do you like that BRIGHT blue?!  Yeah....that's the very first thing we plan to change.  Alec is driving there tomorrow for the house inspection.  Hopefully everything goes ok with inspection, appraisal, loan commitment, and all that comes with trying to purchase a new house!
